Healthy Breakfast: Banana Oats Pudding

Healthy and very easy breakfast: Banana and oats pudding mixed with some chia seeds and nuts- so simple, tasty and healthy to have it for breakfast.
I recommend to make this pudding in the evening and freeze it overnight to have super nice and healthy breakfast in the morning.

Preparation time- 5 min
Serving- 1 bowl
Cooking time- 5 min


Ingredients:

Banana- 1 large mashed
Oats- 1/2 cup
Chia seeds- 1 tbsp
Cinnamon powder- 1/4 tsp
Milk- 5tbsp

Ingredients for toppings:

Fresh fruit
Nuts and seeds

Method-

Take oats, mashed banana and milk in a pan and cook it for 5 minutes. Then add chia seeds, cinnamon powder. Transfer that in a bowl and keep it in fridge overnight. In the morning takw out the oat bowl and give it a mix. If the oats mixture is too thick add a splash of milk and mix it well. 
Add the toppings as per the choice. I have added fresh pomegranate and mix nuts like almonds, pista, cashews, raisins etc.

Grilled Mackerel with garlic and lemon



It contains a good amount of protein, Omega-3 fatty acids, Vitamin B12. All these nutrients help reduce inflammation, improve metabolic rate, and build lean muscle mass. You can have grilled or boiled mackerel for lunch or dinner to lose weight.

Preparation time: 5-10 min
Grilling time: 10 min
Serving: 1

Ingredients-
Mackerel: 1 medium, cleaned 
Salt as per tasteGinger garlic paste: 1 tsp
Lemon juice: 1 tbsp
Garlic: 2-3 pods finely chopped
Black pepper powder: 1/2 tsp

Method-

Wash the mackerel and put ginger garlic paste, salt, lemon juice, black pepper powder, chopped garlic and mix it well and marinate it for 2 hours.keep it in fridge
After 2 hours take it out from fridge. Take grill pan and heat it. Now put the fish on the grill pan and cover it. Keep the flame medium. After 5 min flip other side and cover the pan again. Check after 5 min the fish should be cooked. Sprinkle aome coriander leaves and lemon juice if required and serve it with salad.

Mutton Rogan Josh






MUTTON ROGAN JOSH

No onion, no garlic, no tomato. It is made with plain yogurt and spice powder. This curry taste best when served with hot steamed rice or paratha.

Preparation time-15 min
Cooking time- 2 hrs
Serves- 4

Ingredients:

Mutton:500gm
Garam masala powder: 2tsp
Lemon juice: 2tsp
Ghee: 4tbsp
Bay leaf: 2
Cinnamon stick :1 or 2
Black cardamom: 2 crushed into powder
Green cardamom: 2 crushed into powder
Salt to taste

Ingredients for paste:

Curd- 1 cup
Black pepper powder: 1 tsp
Kashmiri chilli powder: 3 tbsp
Green cardamom powder: 1 tsp
Black cardamom powder: 1/2 tsp

Method:

Take mutton in a bowl snd add salt and lemon juice. Marinate it for 2 hours. If you leave it for marination overnight well and good.
Take curd in a bowl and whisk it till it is smooth and then add all the paste ingredients listed above. Mix well and keep it aside.
Take pot or pressure cooker and heat it. Add bay leaf, cinnamon stick, black cardamom, green cardamom and saute for a minute. Now add mutton and mix it well and brown the meat for around 5-7 min.. Now add the curd mixture and mix it well. Let this cook for 10 minutes then sprinkle some garam masala powder. Add some water approx 1-2 cups and put more salt if required (as per the taste). Now cover the pot/pressure cooker and keep the flame low  and cook it for 2 hours. Check in between after 1 hour and mix it. Check again after 1 hour the mutton will be cooked and falling off the bone. Serve with steamed rice or Paratha.
